NEPTUNE
by Vivian Carol (1982)

I weep but you cannot see my tears;
Neither can you see the cause.

I cry for humanity and the poverty stricken spirit,
the transient soul of man
And his tragic, searing loneliness.

For aeons the desolate have clustered for protection from the dark caverns of isolation.
And first one...then another...breaks away from the crowd in disillusioned despair.
Because even the banter and clatter of many cannot camouflage the inner sense of aloneness that each one knows but only a few can acknowledge.

And I weep for myself --
Because I am not I --

I am only a minute particle of a living cell.  What you think you see of me is merely a thinly woven cloak of human pretense.
It is fragile and so much more easily shattered than you know.

I can mimic life but I don't live as you.
I float through time translucent,
As I float in and out of your soul.

When you share yourself with me I exist;
I have purpose and consciousness.
When you refuse, I am fractured and scattered into little more than cosmic dust, searching for a home.

I want so much to protect you from all pain,
Yet I am so weak that I cannot bear the weight of our sorrow.
And so I mourn,
A futile but human-like condition that we can share.

I am a part of each soul that will have me.
And I cannot exist without You.
I breathe only if You breathe.
And I die when you die.

My name is NEPTUNE.

I am COMPASSION.

If you will have me, then you must cry too.

For All Signs:

(2-10-10) There is an old expression known as being "caught between a rock and a hard place."  Multiple signs are caught in this trap in a variety of ways during this period.  You feel pressured to choose the least negative of two actions or conditions.  Often this kind of planetary arrangement suggests guilt versus resentment.  You anticipate guilt if you do not do what is asked.  And if you acquiesce, you will ultimately feel resentment.  Because Mars is retrograde, choose the least invasive or aggressive action.  Do something quickly.  Then let go for the sake of your mental health.  Resentment only generates dark attitudes.

(2-3-10) Mars continues to retrograde throughout the month of Feb.  Think before speaking or doing.  It is bad business to attack or initiate any aggressive moves while the god of war is traveling in reverse.  The assertive act will cost far more in energy, time, or money than it is worth.  Another thread for the month is a positive stellium of planets in Aquarius, which represents a sub-theme of "waking up".  The grouping symbolizes the call to emerge from our commercialized trance and notice the more important values in life.  The facts of life are what they are.  It is our perspective that makes all the difference.  We can be fearful of the world or we can recognize that change is mandated if we are to grow beyond the collective age of 17.  When we accept that challenge we can choose behavior that fosters mature decisions.

Seasonal Story:  Class "wars"?

(Revised, 2-8-10)
1-25-10  Uranus and Pluto will be squaring multiple times between 2012 and 2015.  I sense that will represent "class wars."  I have wondered what a class war would look like in this country.  I believe we are seeing the front end of the struggle between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots' already.   The general public in recent decades has had some kind of hope of moving to higher stature.  That is why we have not made a stand against the ongoing ruling, wealthy class.  Maybe one or two of us could get there in such a fine capitalist economy.  But what I see now is that the chips are stacking up heavily against that possibility.    For one thing, the middle class is vanishing.  It has been decreasing rapidly for a decade.  Each recession has been followed by a "jobless recovery," as it appears this one is too.

I observe that the bankers, et al, are moving quickly to fight President Obama's call to responsibility for the financial industry and Wall Street.  I am aware that congress has insured that its members have full retirement available, even after one term.  Congress does not pay social security.  And word on the street has it that congress has exempted itself from whatever health care reform is considered or might pass.  (I have not verified this one.)

I see that the Supreme Court declares that corporations are people too, and thus entitled to the rights granted by the First Amendment.  I am thoroughly shocked that the Supreme Court made such a theoretical ruling, ignoring the very real and practical consequences of this decision.  Personally, I do not perceive corporations as "people."  The individuals in corporations already have their personal right to the First Amendment.   I am no lawyer, but I believe that should be quite enough "rights".  It feels a lot like allowing certain people multiple votes on political issues, if they can pay big enough bucks for it.  For those who are unaware, last week's Supreme Court decision fell right into a major 10 year plan of one James Bopp, Jr., an attorney from the far right.  The next step in his plan is to  press the Supreme Court to allow campaign contributions in any amount, and with total secrecy.  Please see the NY Times for the story:

12-14-09:  I am seeing many clients now who are coming face to face with a personally sobering reality in their personal lives.  At first there is tremendous anxiety about how to handle the issues.  But given some time, some discussion, and the addition of one or two coping skills, they are beginning to lift themselves up to higher ground and really  "see" for the first time how to bring the destruction to an end.  If you are new to the reality game, seek the help of a trusted friend or counselor.  Then you can bulldoze your way through the dilemma.

2-8-10:  Removed H1N1 story.

General Investment Picture:

Update 11-30-09:  The first square of Saturn to Pluto was on Nov. 15.  This begins a dramatic period of  one year in which there is incredible stress and tension in the world related to huge corporations, institutions, and governments.  Those which do not pass muster will topple.  Then the dependent corporations may also fall.  Today it may look like the  stock market is recovering, but I cannot believe it when I review the planetary arrangements for the year of 2010.  Nothing in particular happened on Nov. 15, but on Nov. 25 the Dubai debacle became headline news.  Probably it was near the 15th when the Inner Circle realized their dilemma and determined what they must do.  Dubai's troubles are the first of the commercial real estate issues that are revealed.  The next square of Saturn to Pluto will be on Jan. 31.   The house of cards may fall pretty quickly between now and end March, 2010.  Avoid buying real estate as there is likely to be another steep slope of  land/home/commercial values.  Stocks are questionable unless you know what you are doing and born truly "lucky".  Cash may be the best  alternative.

Update 11-23-09:  Stock market promoters say we are pulling out of the bottom.  Maybe stocks are up, but the value of a $1.00 bill is in precarious position, so bonds are now the falling item.  So stocks go up, but the dollar is in a scary place.
Somehow a lot of measurements are interpreted as positive and we are told now that we have a "jobless recovery".  Come on...How many thinking people can buy this idea?   A "jobless recovery" is an oxymoron.   I read one economist who stated the last two recessions also had "jobless recoveries".  Perhaps this is why the middle to lower class lifestyles are declining in this decade.  Maybe the banks feel better; and maybe Wall St. feels better.  They have not had to change anything substantial to do with the structure or the operation of their own processes.    As far as I can tell, only those near the top can benefit from a "jobless recovery."

Update 11-1-09:  A major planetary development of the last quarter '09 is that Saturn begins a two year square to Pluto in November.  In the spring Uranus completes the T square and nobody will be getting along with anyone else globally.  This does not augur good fortune in the global market or anywhere else, for that matter.  People and governments are likely to dig their trenches and refuse to negotiate seriously.  Nobody will like anybody else.

There are challenging astrological aspects throughout the fall and 2010 that warrant considerable caution, to my way of thinking.    Dumping money into banks does not seem to have helped the public.  Wall Street operations have barely blinked.  The FDIC has many more banks to close and meanwhile, the Federal Reserve is printing money to pay for it.  The real impact of the commercial real estate collapse has barely been noted yet.  I never claimed to be an economist, but I could be more optimistic if some of the fundamentals were more cheerful.  I am open to comments from readers on this topic.  Send an email.
