The HTC Wildfire is one of the most popular Android phones mainly because it is one of the very few phones that finally brought to the Android operating system to the masses. Even though it was among very few selected phones that were offering Android, it is the first phone to be offering the latest 2.1 version of Android at a time when most manufacturers are using the 1.6 version. Now, HTC has announced the replacement model for the HTC Wildfire S and it will be following in the same tradition of the HTC Wildfire.
The HTC Wildfire S will be having on the features that made the original HTC wildfire incredibly successful. Hence, it will be having the same 3.2 inch touch screen display, although the resolution of the screen has been massively increased from the previous 240 x 320 pixels to a whopping 320 x 480 pixels. It is almost double the resolution of the old phone and the screen remains similar in size. This means that you will be able to get much more for their money in the display itself. The other feature that the new phone will be the fact that it will be using the latest version 3.0 of the HTC Sense, which is just now making its way into the HTC phones. It was much appreciated in the previous phone and it will in no doubt be appreciated once again in the new HTC Wildfire S.
The HTC Wildfire S will be having the same five megapixel camera that was seen in the original phone. However, it has been tweaked slightly to offer more in terms of clarity and detail to offer much more from the same five megapixel unit. Another change that the new phone will be having is in the processor department. Instead of the previous 528 MHz processor, this will be having a brand-new 600 MHz processor. Even though this is a slight difference, it is extremely user friendly when it comes to running the retest Android 2.4 operating system. This operating system version has not been released yet, but this phone will not be coming with the 2.3 version of Android and will be coming with the 2.4 version only. It is believed that the 2.3 version has some compatibility issues with the Android 3.0 honeycomb operating system that was recently released only for the tablet PCs. Hence, Google is in the process of making some critical changes to the 2.3 version and the 2.4 version will not be released before too long.
The HTC Wildfire S will be having the best possible RAM of 384 MB to run this operating system along with the powerful processor. There are plenty of connectivity options as before with the likes of 3G and Wi-Fi providing Internet support. The Bluetooth and micro-USB option provide the connectivity options with the other phone. The HTC Wildfire S will be launched in the UK very shortly, although the network provider details have not been revealed. Moreover, you may also desire to explore HTC Flyer for other available deals.
